Born in Sorrento, Angela Schisano graduated with honors from the Conservatory “San Pietro a Majella” in Naples, then she specialised with Raina Kabaivanska at Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena and and at Sofia National Opera, and with Renata Scotto at Teatro Chiabrera in Savona.
She made her stage debut in 2018 with the role of Angelina in La Cenerentola at Castello Sforzesco in Milan, staged by Gianmaria Aliverta and conducted by Marco Alibrando, with great critical acclaims.
From the season 2020/21 she was a member of the “Fabbrica” Young Artist Program of Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, which gave her the chance to take part in several important productions at Teatro dell’Opera as Evgenij Onegin (Olga, cover) conducted by James Conlon and staged by Robert Carsen, Rigoletto (Maddalena, cover) conducted by Daniele Gatti and staged by Damiano Michieletto, Die lustige Witwe (Olga) conducted by Stefano Montanari. She also took part in the Film-Opera of La traviata (Annina), alongside Lisette Oropesa in the title role, directed by Mario Martone and conducted by Daniele Gatti. In addition, she performed in concerts with Orchestra del Teatro dell’Opera: the Opening Concert for the 150th Anniversary of “Roma Capitale”; Schubertiade; some concerts at Fuksas’ La Nuvola hall, conducted by Gianluca Capuano and Fabio Biondi,with arias by Gluck, Mozart, Rossini and Donizetti. Opera di Roma invited her after the end of YAP, for Janáček’s Kat’á Kabanová, role Fekluša.
Other highlights of her career are: Menotti’s La Medium (Mrs Nolan) and Cimarosa’s Le astuzie femminili (Leonora) conducted by Alessandro De Marchi at Reate Festival; the opening gala of Donizetti Festival 2021 in Bergamo and Chiara o Serafina (Serafina/Luisa) at Donizetti Festival 2022, where she also covered the role of Leonore in La Favorite conducted by Riccardo Frizza and staged by Valentina Carrasco; Il barbiere di Siviglia (Rosina) in concert in Benevento under the baton of Sir Antonio Pappano and La rondine (Bianca/Gabrielle) in concert at Barbican Center in London with the London Symphony Orchestra again conducted by Sir Antonio Pappano.

Antonio Pappano; Mosè in Egitto (Amenofi) at Teatro Comunale di Modena, Teatro Municipale di Piacenza and Teatro Valli di Reggio Emilia; Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle with Lebanese Phihilarmonic Orchestra in Beirut.
